Fly Fishing is not a sport - It is an addictive passion.

My Grandfather taught me to flycast in 1952, when I was 9 years old. I often think of him when I apply those precious lessons. He (Floyd "Whitey" Willnow) guided me into a passion for which I have been forever grateful. I will always treasure his devotion to me and the times we shared together.

What's With This Site ?

My primary objective for creating a site dedicated to fishing, particularly fly fishing, is to share references, ideas, ventures, experiences, and "old school attitudes" I have gathered over 60 plus years of enjoying a passion for fishing. Also, informative items gathered from fellow anglers will be shared. The site will include articles, pictures and other bits of information readers may find entertaining. Suggestions from readers are welcome...but, may not always be considered!!

Disclaimer of Blog Site Design Competence!

To readers who may stubble upon my Fishing Blog site: Please note that I am not knowledgeable regarding the design, layout, format, or "blog tricks" that make a blog site exciting. I will continue to learn and improve the site. Hang with me as I add, change, tweak, and experiment in an attempt to get it right! Thanks.... and tight lines, Doug
